I grew up in Texas and moved to the Kansas City area in 2009 just before starting law school at the University of Kansas. Prior to law school, I was a newspaper online editor for several newspapers in California and Texas. I received a Bachelors of the Arts in Photojournalism from the University of North Texas in 2006.

After graduating law school in 2011, I began working as a public defender in Columbia, Missouri. Three years later, I moved back to Kansas City and spent the next five years working as an appellate attorney with the public defender system. This involved handling appeals and post-conviction cases after trials and guilty pleas to work on getting clients new sentences or new trials. During the five years I spent in that work, I was able to get 148 years of prison-time back for my clients. You will even see my name in case law.

In 2020, I transferred back to trial work and started in the Chillicothe, Mo, office. While there, I represented clients mainly in Ray, Harrison, and Mercer counties. After a total of ten years of service, I left the public defender system and started The Law Office of Natalie Hull.

I live with three dogs, four cats, my boyfriend Jared, and dozens of plants. I love to dance to loud music while I bake, nurse my indoor plants, travel the area roads looking for amazing photographs, and enjoy listening to audio books while driving to courthouses around the area.
